As we approach the Christmas period, we have a chance to look back on the year and celebrate another one coming around.
This season really has been like no other that I've seen in golf. As more and more golfers take up the game, membership has soared and the weather has made for a nonstop golfing summer. It has been brilliant to see so many people out on the course this year and catch up with so many of our members.
I would like to thank our 2025 Captain, Phil Clarke and Irene Ward and also our President, Mike Parker, for their support this year and I really look forward to working with our 2026 Captain, Ian Sutcliffe while Irene continues her work as Lady Captain for Another Year, A warm welcome goes out to our Captains as well as our 2026 President Dave Wakelin. I look forward to working with you all and wish you a successful year.
Finally, a huge thank you goes out to all of our members and the board who, without all of your support, would not make it possible to do what we do. Thank you so much for all of your support this year. It has been a fantastic season, and I look forward to seeing everyone over the festive period and into the new year.
